About the Department

The Individual and Family Department in Tjörn Municipality is responsible for support and interventions for children, young people, and adults, as well as economic assistance, labor market initiatives, and integration. The department is characterized by close collaboration between units, where authority exercises and open care are situated side by side.

The Children and Young People Unit consists of reception, investigative social secretaries, child secretaries, foster care secretaries, and family counselors. There is a strong commitment here to children's rights, legally secure case processing, and early, evidence-based interventions.

We work towards reasonable caseloads, good conditions for reflection, and a work climate where collegial support is a given.

The Social Office is located in the middle of Tjörn in Kållekärr, with good bus connections – and for those who commute by car, the journey is against the current, meaning fewer queues and a smoother daily routine.

Responsibilities

As an Investigative Social Secretary, you work with investigating the need for support for children and young people and their families based on incoming applications and reports.

The assignment includes:

• Investigating the need for support according to current legislation and guidelines
• Processing cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU)
• Contributing to utilizing families' own resources and solutions
• Collaborating with internal and external actors
• Documenting according to legislation and established routines

The work is carried out in close collaboration within the unit and with other operations to create the best possible support for those we serve.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Social Work (Social Worker)
• Has experience in authority exercises within child and youth services (meritorious)
• Has knowledge of current legislation (SoL and LVU)
• Has knowledge of BBIC (Benchmarks of Safety)
• Has good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Has a few years of experience in the field (meritorious)

Employment Terms
