About the position
Personal assistance is a measure under the LSS Act (The Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the customer with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
About the customer
The customer is a 20-year-old young man who lives with his mother in Hisingsbacka, Gothenburg. He has autism and has a comprehensive need for support to secure his daily life around the clock, both at home and outside. He has a varied communication style and uses Signs as Support (TAKK) and sign language, as well as sounds and his own signs. His interests are almost exclusively related to speed and movement: Liseberg (rides everything), Jumpyard, swimming, horse riding, go-karting, trips to a 4H farm, walks, etc.
In working with the customer, a low-affective approach (LAB) is applied in combination with a strong focus on motivational work.
- Motivational work: A large part of the daily work involves inspiring and motivating the customer to perform various tasks and participate in activities. It requires staff to be able to read the daily mood and find the right keys to encourage the customer in a positive way.
- Low-affective approach: We work preventively to create a safe environment without stress. We avoid confrontations and set demands in a way that is adapted to the customer's conditions.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and understands the importance of a low-affective approach. The work requires that you, as an assistant, are comfortable with a high pace and enjoy being out and about in activities. Since communication is central, experience with sign language or signs as support is meritorious, but the most important thing is sensitivity and the ability to adapt your language. Experience with autism and LAB is highly meritorious.

Working hours, degree of employment and salary
The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with a degree of employment of approximately 80%. The working hours are scheduled during the day and evening, varied on the schedule, and there is double assistance during all active hours from 06:00–22:30, regardless of whether you work day or evening shifts.
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to collective agreements.
Start date: According to agreement.
