About the Department

The Individual and Family Department in Tjörn Municipality is responsible for support and interventions for children, young people, and adults, as well as economic assistance, labor market initiatives, and integration. The department is characterized by close cooperation between units, where authority enforcement and open care collaborate to create the best possible support for those we serve.

The Child and Young People's Unit consists of reception, investigative social secretaries, child secretaries, foster home secretaries, and family therapists. There is a strong commitment to children's rights, legally secure processing, and early, knowledge-based interventions.

We work towards reasonable caseloads, good conditions for reflection, and a work climate where collegial support is a given.

The Social Office is located in the middle of Tjörn in Kållekärr, with good bus connections – and for those who commute by car, the journey is against the current, meaning less traffic and a smoother daily routine.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Social Secretary, you play a central role in leading, ensuring quality, and developing authority work within child and family services.

You work closely with the Unit Manager and provide support in the operational leadership for the social secretaries in the group.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Leading and distributing daily work in the group
• Ensuring legally secure processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU)
• Providing methodological support in investigation work and assessments
• Introducing and supervising new employees
• Monitoring quality, caseload, and work environment
• Being part of development work and implementation of new ways of working
• Collaborating with internal and external actors

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Social Work (Social Work)
• Has several years of experience in authority enforcement regarding children and young people
• Has good knowledge of current legislation (SoL and LVU)
• Has experience in investigation work according to BBIC
• Has good verbal and written communication skills

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in leadership or similar roles
• Experience in method development or quality work
• Experience in collaboration between different actors
