Hemnovia is now looking for dedicated family therapists on an hourly basis for our outpatient services in Gothenburg and surrounding areas!

Do you want to make a meaningful contribution and create safe and positive meetings between children and their parents? Then you could be our next family therapist!

Being a family therapist

Some children lack a close relationship with their parent(s), which means extra support may be needed to create a safe and positive experience for the child. As a family therapist, your primary task is therefore to provide this support when the child is to have contact with a parent they do not live with.

The assignment also includes planning and coordination for the intended contact with your nearest manager, parents, the adults the child lives with, and our clients. During the contact, you, as a family therapist, are responsible for ensuring that the plan for the current contact is followed, observing, and being helpful if the situation requires it. Reflective conversations with the parent and child before and after contact can also be part of the assignment.

After the contact has ended, you are responsible for compiling a written and oral report to your nearest manager and client. You also participate in planning meetings/discussions with your nearest manager and client.

To succeed in the role of family therapist, you need to be secure, flexible, attentive, and structured.

Scope

The work opportunities are regular and can take place on weekdays and weekends. The contact and meetings take place in Gothenburg and surrounding areas in a public place, in a facility, or in the home where the child lives.

The work involves flexibility and variation where you, in dialogue with your nearest manager, are involved in the planning regarding the hours you work.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have relevant higher education, e.g., social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent
  • Have experience in therapeutic work with young people and/or families
  • Are secure in your professional role and used to working independently
  • Have good ability to establish contact and build trust with young people
  • Have knowledge in systems theory, conversation methodology, or other relevant therapeutic methods
  • Have a Category B driver's license

We offer:

  • A meaningful assignment where you get to make a real difference
  • A close collaboration with your nearest manager, colleagues, and clients
  • Flexible working hours according to agreement

Why Hemnovia?

In your assignment as a family therapist at Hemnovia, you get the opportunity to be part of an organization that works with heart and for the child's best interest. You are also offered a secure work environment where our keywords; responsibility, engagement, quality, and development permeate the operations as well as the work. We value good team spirit, experience sharing, and competence development. Apply today to make an important contribution that makes a real difference!

To work as a family therapist within Hemnovia's outpatient services, you need to provide extracts from the Police's suspicion and criminal record register.
