About Us

Ekensbergsskolan is a small, well-functioning school with approximately 400 students from preschool class through grade 6. The school features a pleasant layout with a round main building where classrooms radiate from a large central light hall. This light hall facilitates eye contact and communication with all students and staff throughout the school day. We offer a diverse curriculum that blends digital teaching with traditional methods to keep students' curiosity and creativity at their peak. All students in grades 1–3 have their own iPads, and students in grades 4–6 have access to their own computers.

The Role

We are currently looking for a teacher for grade 6 in Swedish, English, and Social Studies. The role involves being a homeroom teacher for a grade 6 class, having planning responsibility for teaching, and collaborating with the rest of the school staff. You will conduct and evaluate teaching independently as well as in coordination with the teaching team. You will plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and ensure high quality in all processes. You will receive good support from your colleagues, team leader, and student health services.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher for grade 6 with qualifications in Swedish, English, and Social Studies.
• Has experience working as a teacher.
• Is well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant regulatory documents.
• Is proficient in using digital tools creatively in teaching as well as for personal planning, follow-up, and documentation.
• Has excellent command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We seek someone who creates situations where students succeed. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on science and proven experience, enabling you to create good learning environments (didactic, emotional, and physical).

As a person, you are sensitive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have a strong ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are experienced in working with student documentation such as pedagogical mapping and action plans.

You are interested in driving the development of the school and students, can capture students' attention, and create participation and motivation in various activities. You are a confident person with good pedagogical insight who can lead groups or individuals. You want to be part of a well-functioning team and contribute to the well-being and development of the stage and the entire school.
