Do you want to help create the best conditions for an equal education?

At the Swedish National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools (SPSM), we work to ensure that all children, students, and adult learners with disabilities reach their educational goals. We run our own special schools in various locations across Sweden. We also provide support to preschools and schools nationwide to create learning environments that are both developmental and accessible. Additionally, we distribute state grants and develop teaching materials.

We hope that you, with your background and competence, can contribute to increasing our diversity. You can read more about what we offer at www.spsm.se/ledigajobb (https://www.spsm.se/ledigajobb).

All students have the right to a school that offers them the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites

SPSM operates schools on behalf of the state. We offer students a learning environment that provides opportunities for participation, learning, and development. We offer meaningful, stimulating, and important pedagogical work at our schools.

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm receives students with severe speech and language disorders from preschool class through grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to gain the prerequisites to achieve knowledge goals, be active participants in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer housing for students who cannot commute to school daily.

WORK TASKS

We are looking for a teacher qualified to teach Swedish/Norwegian in grades 4-6.

Are you looking for an exciting workplace where you have room to influence and make a difference? Do you also want to develop support for students with severe speech and language disorders so they can reach their goals? Then you are one of the teachers we need in our operations.

At Hällsboskolan, we work together in close collaboration in so-called grade teams led by team leaders. We use a cross-curricular thematic approach that we believe will benefit our students in their knowledge development.

At Hällsboskolan, all teaching is based on the Special School Ordinance and the curriculum for primary or special schools. Teaching, environment, and communication are adapted to each student's needs.

As a teacher with us, you work with pedagogical mapping, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

The work with us requires close cooperation with students' guardians, colleagues, and other external actors who are important for the students' health and development.

You will also have support from a special needs educator, IT pedagogue, counselor, psychologist, school nurse, and speech therapist.

Our vision is: Equal education for all - together we make a difference. We want our students, when they leave Hällsboskolan, to have developed tools and strategies so that they are equipped to take on the challenge of the next step in life. We are now looking for you who both want to and can contribute to this journey.

Exciting changes

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen together with Mälarhöjden faces exciting changes as a branch school starts on Södermalm in Stockholm in the academic year 26/27, awaiting new premises in Salem Municipality during the academic year 27/28. This means that in the autumn of 27/28, you may have your workplace in Salem Municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a teaching license to teach in lower secondary school (grades 7-9).
  • Have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience working as a teacher.

It is meritorious if you:

  • Have experience working with students with severe speech and language disorders.
  • Have experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).
  • Have experience with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).

We place great emphasis on qualities such as personal maturity, integrity, and the ability to contribute to developing an organization in change.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10 or as agreed.
A probationary period of 6 months applies.

An extract from the criminal record must be presented prior to employment.

In the event of a societal crisis, you may be directed to work between the agency's areas of operation based on your location.

Regarding the recruitment process, we have taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We decline all offers of advertising and recruitment assistance this time.
