Workplace Description

Backluraskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) with approximately 460 students and 70 employees. The school is located in a beautiful natural area in the northern villa district of Hässelby.

At Backluraskolan, there are curious students, competent staff, and a strong commitment to developing teaching. A strength of the organization is collegial learning, as well as the shared engagement and drive to develop various parts of the operations. Well-established routines and good structure are in place at the school.

We have our own kitchen and an inspiring schoolyard that invites play and movement. We place great emphasis on incorporating more movement into the students' entire day.

Job Description

The position includes mentorship for approximately 25 students, and you will teach in the preschool class (förskoleklass). You will co-plan together with other teachers in the grade level, which consists of a total of two parallel classes. You will collaborate with after-school staff during the school day. Daily tasks include planning, implementing, evaluating, and ensuring high-quality teaching that creates context for students throughout the entire school day.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications in all theoretical subjects at the lower primary level (grades 1-3).

You have the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, self-aware, and a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are skilled at meeting students' needs for guidance and stimulation, as well as extra adjustments. You vary your teaching and base it on students' different knowledge levels.
