Description

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Affective Clinic in Kungälv belongs to the Psychiatry Department at Kungälv Hospital and is located at Rollsbovägen 58 in Kungälv. There are good connections to Gothenburg. In 2020, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Kungälv and Ale was divided into one unit focused on patients with neuropsychiatric disabilities and another unit focused on patients with affective problems. We are now looking for a new employee for this affective clinic.

The team consists of physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, secretaries, and unit managers. Access is also available to speech therapists and occupational therapists, who are employed by the neuropsychiatric unit. The operations are characterized by high competence and a high degree of collaboration, and are conducted from a cross-professional perspective.

In addition to various types of conversations, we also conduct group activities. All professional groups receive continuous supervision based on their profession.

Job Responsibilities

Qualified investigative, assessment, and treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. The work is carried out in teams but also independently. We often have contact with neighboring healthcare providers, schools, and social services.

The clinic has on-call duty during daytime hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed healthcare social worker and who want to help continue developing our clinic with shared commitment and innovative thinking. You have an open mind and a good ability to critically review your work, as well as a clear patient focus that is manifested in collaboration with the patient regarding diagnostics and treatment methods. Above all, you are someone who values the important work with the mental health of children and young people and wants to work for outstanding and accessible child and adolescent psychiatry.

A university degree in social work is required.

In addition to experience working in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, we also view basic psychotherapy training (step 1) as an advantage. It is also meritorious if you are a licensed healthcare social worker and if you have experience working in child and adolescent psychiatric emergency functions. We place great emphasis on teamwork skills and personal suitability.
