We are now looking for a Family Home Secretary and hope you want to join us.
Here, you will contribute to the development of family home care and be an important part of a team working towards a safe and meaningful everyday life for our placed children and young people. We create conditions so that the child can develop based on their own abilities and resources, and are prepared for an independent life.
As a Family Home Secretary with us, you will become part of a work group where participation and collaboration are in focus. We help each other, share ideas, drive development, and exchange knowledge. Together, we strive for a workplace where there is time and space for reflection, recovery, and support from management in daily work.
On the unit, three and a half Family Home Secretaries, four Child Welfare Secretaries, three Family Law Secretaries, and one Social Secretary work together. The Social Secretary recruits and supervises support families and contact persons according to the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We have also expanded our operations with a school coordinator/special needs teacher to support the schooling of our placed children. The management team consists of three Senior Social Secretaries and one Unit Manager.
We work based on Signs of Safety and use the Signs of Safety approach and tools in our work with our placed children, their networks, and family homes. We work to strengthen the child's sense of belonging and participation, including them, parents, and other important people in the planning of care. We work to create safe placements for children in social care and strive to have all our family homes and emergency homes in-house.
You will receive an individual introduction at the workplace and a mentor for as long as needed; whether you are new or experienced in the role. Together with your colleagues, you will be part of a larger network where you can exchange ideas and experiences.
Your main responsibilities include recruiting and investigating family homes, as well as providing regular support and supervision to family homes during their assignments. The role also involves recruiting, investigating, and supervising contact persons and contact families. You will also participate in training and further education sessions for our family homes.
We work in teams, with Family Home Secretaries and Child Welfare Secretaries focusing on the child, and you plan your work together based on the child's needs and situation. Since there are often several actors around the child, you are expected to be able to collaborate and coordinate with others, as well as work independently and make your own decisions.
In addition to the daily support you receive from the Senior Social Secretary, you will receive regular external supervision together with the group.
You must have a degree in Social Work or equivalent, along with experience in family home care and/or work with placed children and young people. Experience in investigating and supervising family homes is advantageous. We would appreciate it if you had knowledge of Signs of Safety. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and view method development as an important part of daily work. You must be able to work independently, make decisions, reflect, drive processes forward, and monitor the external environment.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our continued development work, contributing ideas, taking responsibility, and driving the development of family home care. You are unpretentious, flexible, and committed to working for everyone's participation. You are good at communicating and collaborating with others in an environment where the pace can sometimes be high. You need to be meticulous and stress-resistant. You are empathetic and understand what good treatment means, both in meetings with our clients and towards colleagues. We work to make the child involved in decisions regarding care, where the child's attitude and opinions are particularly taken into account.
A driver's license is required for the position.
As an employee with us, you have access to a wellness allowance, free coffee and fruit, and the opportunity to exchange vacation days. We have annual working hours, and you are expected to have some flexibility with working times. Remote work is possible when the operations allow. Some evening work and travel may occur.
Start date: According to agreement. Interviews may begin during the application period.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Working hours: Daytime.
We value a good work environment where you can combine work and leisure. As an employee, you have access to a range of benefits, such as a wellness allowance and an employee welfare program. Read more about our employee benefits here: https://lerum.se/dina-formaner (https://lerum.se/dina-formaner)
