ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant. We offer a position of approximately 80% with a fixed schedule.

The working hours are scheduled during daytime and evening on weekdays, as well as every other weekend.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a 14-year-old boy with a twinkle in his eye who lives with his family in Vänersborg. He has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and uses a wheelchair. As an assistant, you will help him with everything in his daily life, from personal hygiene and transfers to playing video games, which is his favorite pastime. In addition, you will accompany him to school on weekdays; afterwards, the working hours are spent at home or at various activities the family engages in together.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for you with a heart in the right place. You are quick to laugh, have a high work ethic, are proactive, responsible, and enjoy working with people. Personal chemistry is what ultimately weighs the most. Furthermore, as an assistant in this assignment, you should be prepared for manual lifting. Both the school, home, and car are adapted to avoid heavy lifting, but there are places where lifting equipment is not available.

REQUIREMENTS

• Driver's license and access to a car
• No allergy to fur-bearing animals as there are a dog and a cat in the home
• Non-smoker
• Good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

MERITS

• Experience working as a personal assistant
• Experience with epilepsy
• Experience with cerebral palsy

DEGREE OF EMPLOYMENT: 80%.

SALARY: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
