Receptionist for Maria Nova, Mariestad

We are now looking for a receptionist who has experience within social services and who enjoys being the first point of contact at our adult unit, Maria Nova.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a receptionist, you are the gateway and the face of Maria Nova - therefore you have a key role in the organization!

In the reception, you work together with a colleague with cases concerning areas such as financial assistance, substance abuse, social psychiatry, domestic violence, and homelessness. You perform initial assessments of incoming applications and reports in accordance with the Social Services Act and the Compulsory Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) / Care of Adults with Substance Abuse Act (LVM). Your duties include:

• Processing simpler cases such as one-time assistance, statements, and providing information about the work and operations of social services.
• Assisting with evictions.
• Providing information regarding financial assistance.
• Scheduling new appointments.
• Handling urgent applications that come in.

Your physical location is next to Maria Nova's reception. In the reception, you help each other with the on-call phone and cover urgent matters that arise during each other's absence. You should also be able to support the reception with cases that are of a more complex nature.

In your role, you also collaborate with other functions at Maria Nova.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply have a degree in social work or other equivalent educational background as well as experience from several different parts of social services.

We see that you have a very good sense of service but also the ability to be clear about setting boundaries. It is important that you like meeting people and that you can handle people who are in crisis.

Since the positions involve handling applications and reports, it is required that you can receive them according to current laws and regulations regarding processing and documentation. The applications are being digitized, so it is a requirement that you are quick to learn digital tools and able to teach others how to use them.

Besides Swedish, knowledge of Arabic and English is also meritorious.
