Teacher of Swedish combined with English/Social Studies

Täljegymnasiet is Södertälje Municipality's largest municipal upper secondary school, with approximately 680 students distributed across our various programs: NA, TE, EK, SAM, IB (International Baccalaureate), SPV, and IA (Individual Alternative). We are now looking for an engaged and competent teacher for a 100% temporary position in Swedish combined with Social Studies and/or English. The temporary position covers at least one academic year, with good opportunities for extension.

Your responsibilities

As an upper secondary teacher of Swedish and English/Social Studies, you will play a key role in developing students' language skills and communicative abilities. You will contribute to their knowledge development by creating an stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Your main responsibilities include:

• Plan and conduct teaching: Design and deliver structured lessons in Swedish and English/Social Studies that engage students and develop their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
• Assess student progress: Monitor and evaluate students' knowledge development through varied assessment methods such as tests and oral presentations.
• Individualize teaching: Adapt teaching to students' different needs, prerequisites, and levels to promote learning and goal achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues: Work in teams and subject departments regarding the planning, implementation, and development of teaching.

Through your work, you actively contribute to the students' academic and personal development.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• You have teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and English/Social Studies at the upper secondary level.
• You have experience teaching in a school environment.
• You have good skills in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching.
• You have experience with assessment and grading in accordance with current regulatory documents.
