Viktoriaskolan is a municipal school for grades 7-9, with approximately 560 students in Skara Municipality.

We are now looking for a special educator (specialpedagog) to join our student health team and our school.

The role involves

As a special educator, you work primarily with promotion and prevention to create good conditions for students' learning and development. The work takes place at organizational, school, group, and individual levels.

The role involves independently and together with special teachers working systematically and qualitatively to plan, implement, and evaluate the measures carried out, as well as working together with other professionals in the student health team and in close collaboration with the principal.

You work closely with the school's educators through observations, supervision, and consultations. You also participate, as needed, in conversations with students and guardians, as well as other actors collaborating around a young person. As a special educator, you conduct pedagogical assessments, propose measures, and document students' learning and development. With your special pedagogical competence, you contribute to the development of working methods and approaches with a clear focus on ensuring our students are given good conditions to achieve the goals of the curriculum. You see documentation and continuous evaluation as an integral part of your work.

As a special educator, you are part of both a cross-professional team at the school and a professional group that meets regularly in a network for special educators in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has teacher education and education as a special educator

• has good knowledge and experience of work within the special pedagogical field

• is confident in your pedagogical leadership

• has good ability to structure, plan, organize, and follow up on pedagogical work based on current regulatory documents

• expresses yourself well in speech and writing

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Employment conditions and other information

The position is permanent at 100%. Start date 2026-08-10 or according to agreement.
