About the role and your responsibilities

Working within Social Psychiatry means providing social and pedagogical support to people with intellectual disabilities in a respectful manner. By creating safety and structure, the user is supported in their recovery process.

As a Pedagogical Coordinator, you have a operationally close assignment where you guide and strengthen colleagues in their pedagogical work. You contribute to shared vision, quality, and learning in everyday life and are an important resource in the development of working methods and approaches.

The role includes among other things:

• being a method support in daily work
• supporting colleagues in a recovery-oriented approach
• contributing to planning, follow-up, and social documentation
• supporting the unit manager in development and improvement work
• contributing to the implementation of working methods and internal training initiatives

You collaborate with key actors for the target group and serve as a support to colleagues in contact with users and specific partners such as social secretaries, guardians/administrators, relatives, doctors, etc. Structured collaboration takes place continuously every week with the region through FACT meetings.

The role is operationally close, and you may also participate in regular support work within housing or housing support if needed. You have close cooperation with the unit manager, unit administrator, nurse, and other functions within the operation.

Requirements

• University or college education of at least 180 credits in a relevant field, such as social work, behavioral science, or social pedagogy, or alternatively other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience in pedagogical work and guiding colleagues
• Experience working with the target group
• Knowledge of social documentation
• Good ability to create structure, plan, and follow up on your work
• Ability to work independently, collaborate well, and guide others without having a managerial role
• Familiarity with municipal operations

About the workplace

The Social Psychiatry operational area comprises several activities providing support in housing, employment, and work rehabilitation. The overarching purpose of these activities is to increase prerequisites for recovery. By offering elastic support that is individually designed with interventions characterized by high accessibility, participation, and self-determination, people with intellectual disabilities should be able to live as independent a life as possible. This means we work both in special housing and in the area's housing support at people's homes.
