We are currently looking for personal assistants to work for one of our clients in Hörby. We are seeking you who wish to work as a staff-on-call (behovsanställd) before and during the summer. The client is a cheerful, energetic, and determined 17-year-old boy with autism, epilepsy, and a mental developmental disability. He is looking for someone who is lively, alert, and wants an active job, but who is also secure and stable in themselves. You need to be proactive as he requires constant supervision and monitoring. It is important that you do not have any animal allergies as the family has cats.

The duties involve helping the boy with everything in daily life, from meal and hygiene situations to suggesting and accompanying him to activities such as football, swimming, or various events.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

We prefer that you have some experience working within LSS (Long-term Support and Services for Persons with Disabilities), or alternatively, personal experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities. You must consistently work from a low-affective approach and understand its meaning. The boy is contact-seeking and communicative, so we consider it an advantage if you have experience with visual aids and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) as the boy does not speak.

If you have experience and/or a burning interest in working with children and young people, it is a big plus. Most important are your personal qualities and that you have a genuine desire to learn and develop together with the boy.

Having a driver's license and access to a car is a requirement.

• Scope: As needed or alternatively permanent position
• Working hours: Shifts are distributed among assistants between 07:15–21:00.
• Start date: Immediately
• You must be able to provide proof of work permit and police record

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
