Then you should apply for the position of temporary substitute personal assistant for our client in Trelleborg. We now need to expand our team with a casual worker and are looking for you who are responsible and engaged in your work, while also being humble and confident as a person. It is an important and meaningful job where, as an assistant, you make it possible for our client to have a meaningful day – every day!

The client is a 28-year-old young man with autism and an intellectual disability. As an assistant, you need to be sensitive and adaptable. You need to approach the work with a strong desire to understand our client and his needs, and with great respect for his integrity. You need to be engaged and communicative, as it is very important for the client to both be understood and have the opportunity to understand others based on his conditions.

He has a great need for physical activities, which places a requirement on you to be a person who enjoys physical movement and activity. At the same time, you need to be calm and sometimes able to handle periods of passivity.

We have a team around our client, but we need to expand it and are looking for you who collaborate well with your colleagues and have a pedagogical mindset. You can guide and motivate when needed, while also knowing when to step back.

Your duties include supporting and strengthening the client in daily tasks, planning and structuring through the client's visual aids. We actively work with visual aids as part of creating predictability and clarity in everyday life. For our client, the visual aids are a compass in life.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

As a person, you should be positive and solution-focused. It is important that you are confident in yourself and have a high degree of personal maturity. It is a great advantage if you have experience, knowledge, and understanding of working with people within the autism spectrum. The right personal qualities make up a large part of suitability.

You will receive an introduction that is followed up continuously; we will create a joint plan so that you and the client feel secure together.

The introduction includes attending our introductory training, followed by our other courses. The training is mandatory and an important part of gaining the competence and tools to truly succeed in your work.

Flexibility regarding working hours is required; this is, of course, something provided from both sides. You are an important resource for us, which is why we value you and your free time, but sometimes you will be expected to step in with short notice when your colleagues are absent. We believe in strong teamwork, created by availability, presence, and helpfulness in all aspects. Working hours will be 15:00–09:00 with a wakeful night. Since the client has his own car that is actively used in daily life, a driver's license is required.
