Experience working as a personal assistant or within care and social services is meritorious, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are positive, flexible, and have a good attitude towards people – two obvious qualities for succeeding in the role.

The position is for 20 hours per week on a fixed schedule.

I am looking for a male assistant to help me in my daily life. I need a lot of help of various kinds, as I have a chronic illness that limits my mobility. My limitations include limited arm movement, which allows me to hold items such as my mobile phone, and the use of an electric wheelchair to get out, for example, to a pub. I really enjoy listening to music. Mostly rock, but I also listen to other genres such as electronic music and even more rock! My favorite bands are Primus, Dead Kennedys, and Zeal & Ardor. Film is another area of interest, specifically the thriller and horror genres. Directors I like include Dario Argento, David Cronenberg, and Gaspar Noé. What I am looking for in an assistant is someone who is stress-resistant, can work independently, and preferably has similar interests.

Job Responsibilities:

As a personal assistant, you will help me with, among other things:

• Moving to and from the wheelchair
• Dressing and undressing
• Personal hygiene
• Handing over items and being my extended arms in everyday life.
