About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the customer with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

Our customer is a 28-year-old cheerful and lively young woman with an intellectual disability. The customer communicates using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and images, has many of her communication programs on her iPad, and also has picture schedules posted on the wall. She needs help and support with all daily situations.

The customer enjoys listening to music, dancing, going to gym classes, swimming in the pool, horse riding, and meeting friends to find different activities, such as bowling and Jumpyard.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the customer.

In your work as a personal assistant, it is a plus if you enjoy gym, dancing, and being active. You are not afraid of horses and have no problem swimming in the pool. It is important that you have an interest in technology and are comfortable using apps.

You are a cheerful and inventive young woman who is secure and mature as a person, living in or near Helsingborg or Mörarp. You need to have great patience, be responsible, and enjoy taking care of other people. Being cheerful, social, and having a positive outlook on life. Being able to or being interested in learning PECS and low-arousal approach. The personal chemistry between you and our customer is crucial for this position, which is why we encourage even those without previous experience as a personal assistant to apply.

Requirements for the position:

• Category B driver's license (and several years of driving experience) and access to a personal car.

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

• No fur animal allergies and no fear of horses.

• Good physical fitness.

• Non-smoker.

Merits for the position:

• Experience in similar work.

• Experience with PECS and low-arousal approach.

• Accustomed to physical activities such as gym and dancing.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. The customer prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary:

The current form of employment is "hourly employment," which means working as needed with varying hours during the day, evening, and night on weekends. At night, there are 9.5 hours of on-call duty.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
