About the workplace

Furuboda Assistans is a private personal assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. Currently, Furuboda Assistans consists of approximately 700 employees. We strive to be a role model in sustainable business. For us, sustainable business means having a strong customer focus, well-being among staff, and striving for low climate and environmental impact.

Do you want meaningful work where your personality and interests matter? Are you stable, responsible, and ready for a rewarding job in a school environment? Then we might be looking for you!

We are now seeking personal assistants for an adult man living with an acquired brain injury following a horse riding accident. The client has round-the-clock assistance, including awake night shifts. Before the accident, he led a very active life and still has a great interest in science and music.

The work is entirely based at Furuboda Folk High School during the client's stay there (Sunday to Friday).

Who are you?

The client is tall, which means you need to be physically stable to help with daily activities and transfers. It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We welcome applicants of all ages and genders – the most important thing is your personal maturity and that the personal chemistry fits. It is a big plus if you share the client's interest in science, or if you are music-oriented!

Requirements for the position

To fit the role, you need a manual transmission driver's license and access to your own car. You also need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is also an advantage if you have previous experience with tube feeding, cough assist machines, or working with acquired brain injuries.

About the job and application

We offer positions with varying degrees of employment running on a rolling schedule, and we are also looking for hourly substitutes who can step in as needed. Work shifts are scheduled during the client's stay at the school (Sunday–Friday). Shifts include day, evening, and awake night. You will be part of a team that ensures the client's study time and daily life at school run as smoothly, securely, and stimulatingly as possible.

Application Interviews and recruitment will take place on an ongoing basis, so don't wait to send in your application! Attach a cover letter and CV where you tell a little about who you are and why you think you would fit in with us.

Other

As an employee at Furuboda Assistans, you are offered meaningful work with secure employment, a wellness allowance of 2,500 SEK, training, and opportunities for development in your assignment. We believe it is important for employees to feel joy and community at work, which is why we offer a range of different activities. With us, just like our clients, you are allowed to be exactly who you are. We have a collective agreement and are members of IfA (Interest Association for Personal Assistance Entitled Persons), meeting their high quality requirements as an IfA-approved provider of personal assistance.
