About the role and your responsibilities

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of both spoken Swedish and Sign Language, as we work with users who utilize both modes of communication. The ability to communicate with all our users, regardless of their communication needs, is of great importance.

In this role, you support our users with individually adapted assistance, such as shopping, cooking, care, and cleaning. Various leisure activities are regularly organized together, and for users who wish, we also provide individual support for activities. Through pedagogical support, alternative communication, and care, you and the work team strive to provide users with good living conditions and independence.

The duties also include developing implementation plans, documenting, and conducting regular evaluations. As a contact person, you will collaborate and communicate with parents, relatives, guardians/administrators, and colleagues.

Working hours include days, evenings, and every other weekend, with a full-time equivalent of 36.33 hours per week.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with updated and documented experience in Swedish Sign Language, and who is hearing. We would appreciate prior experience working with this target group.

Having passed grades from the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, Support Pedagogy education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent is meritorious.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as basic skills in digital work tools.

About us

The unit is a service apartment located in central Lund.

The focus of the operation is on NPD diagnoses (neurodevelopmental disorders), where some of our users are deaf and communicate using Sign Language. The work group knows each other well as they have worked together for a long time. We value collaboration and a good atmosphere at work.
