Workplace Description

Kungsholmen Primary School is a grades F-9 school with approximately 1,200 students. The school covers primary education, adapted primary education, after-school centers (fritidshem), and after-school clubs. The teaching teams are divided into grades F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and adapted primary education. The school leadership consists of the principal, deputy principals, and an administrative manager.

To ensure that every student, regardless of their prerequisites, develops and reaches as far as possible in their knowledge acquisition, knowledge, learning, and safety are crucial for success. At Kungsholmen Primary School, we place great emphasis on safety and student health work.

Job Description

We are now looking for an engaged and competent teacher who is responsible for the entire teaching process for students in specific subject areas. Together with other teachers in the work team, you will run and develop our operations.

You understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating, while simultaneously being grounded in research and proven methods. You plan, organize, implement, and evaluate teaching, both individually and together with your colleagues, to develop yourself, your teaching, and the goals of the operation. You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and are driven by the desire to work together with other staff members so that students can reach their full potential.

In your pedagogical leadership, you are a clear leader. In the classroom, you have the ability to create a work environment characterized by safety, trust, and respect. With good didactic skills, strong subject knowledge, a clear structure, and varied teaching adapted to the individual student, you create the best conditions for our students to meet the knowledge requirements. Your view of the student is inclusive, and you ensure that the needs of the individual student and the group are met in the best possible way.

You see documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work. You have good analytical and reflective abilities and constantly develop your teaching. You see yourself as a natural part of creating good conditions for students' learning.

Regarding the childcare assistants in the group, you have a supervisory role and collaborate closely with after-school educators and the Class and Theme Team (KTT) to enable the student's entire learning process throughout the day.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • are a certified primary school teacher,
  • hold a special education degree with a focus on intellectual disability,
  • have well-documented experience within adapted primary education and are well-versed in the steering documents,
  • have experience working with students with various neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF diagnoses),
  • have experience and knowledge of pedagogical mapping and assessment support,
  • use digital tools in your teaching, are accustomed to using clear pedagogy, and use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) / TAKK (Signs as support for speech and communication) fluently,
  • have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships, as the work involves many contact surfaces with students, staff, and guardians.

It is an advantage if you have been involved in developing operations within adapted primary education, so that you are well aware of the competence, capacity, and flexibility it entails.

Since the role involves written documentation and oral communication, it is a requirement that you express yourself well both in speech and writing in Swedish.
