We are looking for a teacher in Home Economics and Consumer Studies at 50% for a fixed-term period.

Today, we are a staff of approximately 130 people with a shared goal of being the best school for our students. The school leadership consists of the principal, an administrative manager, and currently four deputy principals, each responsible for a specific stage of education.

We are a strong team where the atmosphere is good and the key word is collaboration. We are experiencing positive development at the school.

Kämpetorpsskolan is located right in Älvsjö and has approximately 950 students in grades F-9. The lower secondary school (grades 7-9) is housed in relatively new facilities since the school was renovated and expanded.

There are good transport connections to and from the school, and free parking is available on all nearby streets.

Your role

We are looking for a teacher who will teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies in grades 8 and 9.

You will be part of a working group and a subject group where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning to create new and in-depth knowledge. You will also have a "subject colleague" at the school.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.

The position is 50% and fixed-term, likely until the end of the term.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has high expectations for students' achievement of goals, good pedagogical insight, and is clear and engaged to bring out the best in students.

We prefer that you are a certified teacher in the subject and/or have many years of experience teaching the subject.

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.
