International English School Liljeholmen is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located at Midsommarkransen, close to both the subway and bus connections. The school was established in 2014 and currently employs over 120 staff members and has approximately 1,200 students. If you wish to work in an international environment with a supportive culture, IES Liljeholmen is the place for you. We have a diverse student body speaking around 50 different mother tongues, as well as an internationally diverse staff. We encourage and support internationally trained teachers joining us at IES Liljeholmen to learn Swedish and complete their teacher education to eventually obtain a Swedish teaching license.
International English School Liljeholmen is currently seeking a qualified teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language for grades 7-8. You will join the year 7 team, share mentorship responsibility for a class, and teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language to grades 7 & 8. This is a permanent position.
You are a qualified teacher for the specified subjects and age groups. We hope you understand the importance of building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. You are motivated to maintain regular contact with parents, lead mentor sessions according to the mentorship program, and work collaboratively in a supportive environment. There is no requirement for prior teaching experience, but we value your confidence in your professional leadership and your ability to create a safe and stable environment both inside and outside the classroom. You value and deliver personal, clear, and balanced leadership with a focus on both structure and student engagement. As a teacher, you are a clear and active role model.
