Welcome to us
Area 5, municipal preschools, consists of 8 preschools with unique characteristics for each preschool, while the management and leadership are clear and uniform. The area comprises 590 children and 160 employees. The goal is to offer an equitable preschool for all children of high quality. This means that we have a focus on developing and enabling collegial learning in different forums and networks.
Your role
Working as a preschool teacher offers unique and meaningful opportunities to influence and contribute to children's development and learning. As a preschool teacher, you contribute to a positive and developmental environment, with a good balance of care and learning. You do this by basing your work on the preschool's governing documents, Lpfö 18, the Education Act, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Our pedagogical idea is based on an exploratory approach. Using tools such as observation, documentation, and reflection, we make children's learning processes visible and determine the direction for the next step in the pedagogical work.
As a preschool teacher in Area 5, you will work in a context where we offer different networks to engage and support the children in playful and learning situations.
In your professional role, you are engaged, professional, and proactive. You are also responsible and structured, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your collaboration skills are excellent, and you are accommodating in your interaction with children, guardians, and colleagues. You handle conflicts in a sensitive and constructive manner. Furthermore, you have good communication skills both orally and in writing. You enjoy leading and motivating others, and you share your experiences and knowledge.

Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
Experience from the profession is an advantage.
You have knowledge and an idea of how you, together with your colleagues, should realize the goals and values of the curriculum. Your focus on the child is clear and is reflected in your approach in everyday life.
You also have knowledge of how to make visible and further develop children's learning processes using pedagogical documentation.
You have a strong drive to keep the development of the pedagogical environment alive.

As part of Stockholm City, the administration offers preschool and leisure activities, care for the elderly and people with disabilities, social services, preventive and security work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 residents living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by the year 2030.
