We are looking for a temporary Child Welfare Secretary for the Investigation Unit of the Social Services in Eslöv. Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference and develop together with a competent team and a pleasant work group? Then this might be the job for you!

We want to fill the temporary position as soon as possible, and it will last for half a year.

Your Role

• In your role as a Child Welfare Secretary, you will meet with and be responsible for following up on the care of children placed in emergency homes, foster homes, or institutions.
• The work is varied, and you will have contact with many different partners regarding the child.
• The tasks also include contact with the child and support for the biological network.
• Conduct investigations according to SOL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Law on Care of Young People) and follow up on approved measures.
• Write statements to other authorities and prepare documents for committees and boards.
• You work closely with your colleagues and social secretaries in the unit's investigation group.

Your Experience

• You are educated as a social worker (socionom) or have other university-level competence that we assess as equivalent.
• The position requires a B driver's license as travel is common in the work.
• You find it easy to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are accustomed to documenting.

Additional qualifications include:

• Knowledge of children's needs, current legislation, and the ability to drive a legally secure work process.
• Good knowledge of current legislation, the social system, child development, and keeping up with current research.
• Experience in social work within individual and family care, with responsibility for handling cases of placed children and young people.

About the Workplace

The Social Services Investigation Unit works with children and young people aged 0–18 and their families. The unit is divided into different teams: Intake, Investigating Social Secretaries, Foster Homes, and Family Law.

In the foster home group, there are seven employees in total, including both foster home secretaries and child welfare secretaries. The team is led by the Deputy Unit Manager.

Salary between 36,000 to 52,400 SEK depending on experience and responsibility. The final salary is set individually and is based on a combined assessment of your educational background, previous experience, and the area in which you have previously worked.
