Do you live in or near Hässelby and need a part-time job? You now have the opportunity to work as a personal assistant starting in June and continuing through the summer and autumn.

You will be working for "M", a 60-year-old man who shares an apartment with his wife and cat in Hässelby Villastad. "M" has significant mobility impairments and requires 24/7 assistance. "M" communicates via a speech-generating device and has very limited and unclear speech. Therefore, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language.

The duties include assisting with all planned and unplanned aspects of "M's" life. This includes close personal care such as intimate hygiene, oral hygiene, and dressing. It also involves accompanying "M" on various activities outside the home. In addition, all typical household tasks are included.

As a personal assistant, you play a very significant role in "M's" life. We are looking for someone who is responsible, both towards "M's" needs and in relation to your colleagues regarding the execution of tasks.

You should be patient, taking the time to listen to "M's" needs and wishes, not getting stressed, and being willing to change plans if necessary. Your empathy is shown through your ability to put yourself in another person's situation and listen to their requests. You should be naturally calm but able to increase the pace if the situation requires it. A strong sense of order is also important. It is a plus if you enjoy music and have a sense of humor. Having a driver's license is a merit!

Knowledge of aquarium maintenance is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of the assistance required, only female applicants are considered.

You are offered a hourly position, where you will initially work double shifts together with another assistant. The shifts are primarily scheduled: 08:30–16:00, 16:00–22:00, 22:00–08:30 with a double shift 11:00–16:00. The greatest need is currently during daytime hours.

Personal maturity and life experience are valued. It is highly desirable if you live near northwestern Stockholm.
