About the workplace

The Social Services Office in Sollentuna is a social services agency that is at the forefront of development and innovation. We work to develop a knowledge-based social services system, where follow-up instruments and quality issues are in focus. Environmental monitoring, collaboration, user participation, and development are prioritized areas.

Approximately 230 people work at the Social Services Office in Sollentuna. The operations are divided into four departments: the Adult Department, the Children and Young People Department, the Support and Development Department, and R&D Northwest.

The Adult Unit is one of six units within the Adult Department. The unit consists of six social secretaries specializing in substance abuse/addiction and criminal desisters, three social secretaries specializing in domestic violence, and six social secretaries specializing in psychiatric social work. Currently, the Adult Unit has a total of 13 social secretaries, three group leaders, and a unit manager.

Job Description

As a social secretary in our Adult Unit – covering addiction, criminal desisters, domestic violence, and psychiatric social work – the work is varied. The unit works to spread knowledge about the target groups we serve and thinks of itself as working on one and the same unit. Therefore, depending on workload, you may have the opportunity to work with all our target groups.

As a social secretary specializing in the psychiatric social work target group, the tasks involve investigating and assessing applications according to the Social Services Act (SoL) for persons with mental disabilities. We use the investigation material DUR and systematic follow-up via DioEvidence. Collaboration, both internal and external, is an important part of the work, and we extensively use the Coordinated Individual Plan (CIP/SIP).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who primarily have experience working with public authority duties, specifically within psychiatric social work. It is meritorious if you have experience working with comorbidity as well as other experience within social services and/or other experience with the target group. We collaborate across the groups in the unit regarding persons with comorbidity where we work with co-case management.

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work. It is meritorious if you have training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Signs of Safety, as well as if you have experience with systematic follow-up. Other experience with the target group is also meritorious.

In the work, it is important that you can prioritize, make decisions, and have a holistic perspective. To be successful in the work, it is required that you are secure and stable in yourself, have good judgment, and contribute to a good collaboration climate. You have good self-insight, are non-hierarchical, and have the ability to handle complex situations. You are a positive person who enjoys working both independently and in a team.
