Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary according to the client's needs. You will respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. You will be working in a loving family where you are appreciated. We are looking for someone who is unpretentious and takes responsibility in their work.

We are now looking for you who fit the following:

• Want to work with a 17-year-old boy living in Odenplan.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Experience with autism, intellectual disability, and/or epilepsy.
• Tolerate pets (cats).

It is also meritorious if you:

• Have experience with PEG and/or TAKK and/or epilepsy.

Previous experience is preferred, but great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary:

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 50%. The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and weekdays. The working time follows a rolling 4-week schedule:

Week 1 (odd week): Saturday and Sunday 10:00–21:00
Week 2 (even week): Wednesday 17:00–21:30, Thursday 16:00–21:30, and Friday 16:00–22:30
Week 3 (odd week): Monday 16:00–21:30, Thursday 16:00–21:30, Friday 16:00–21:30, Saturday and Sunday 10:00–21:00
Week 4 (even week): Off

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations occur according to the collective agreement.

Start date according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a certificate of conduct from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present a certificate from the police's criminal record and suspicion register prior to any employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
