About me:
I am a sweet, fun, and active 13-year-old girl who loves speed and adventure! I live on the south side of Stockholm, but I also hang out in the city center quite often, where more things happen. I like to be on the move and experience new things – life should be fun!
I have a tracheostomy ("trach") and therefore need double assistance around the clock. It is important to me that everything runs smoothly so that I can focus on living my life – in my own way. As my assistant, you therefore need to be good at collaborating with both me and my other assistants.
I want you to be attentive and alert, but also know when to step back and let me have my own space. The workplace is wherever I am – it could be at home, out in the city, at school, at friends' houses, or on excursions.
If you can sign, it is a big plus, but it is not a requirement.
About you:
Are you a caring, secure, and flexible woman with good teamwork skills? Then you might be exactly who I am looking for!
I want you to be a non-smoker and have an easy time adapting to different situations. You need to be present and attentive, but at the same time understand that you are there to support me in my life – not to control it.
It is important that you function well in a larger work group and can step in for colleagues when needed. You will work days, evenings, awake nights, and weekends according to a rotating schedule, so you should enjoy varied working hours.
The position:
The position starts as an hourly employment so that we get the opportunity to get to know each other.
After that, it transitions to a substitute position of approx. 80% on a rotating schedule. Other times may occur as part of the role to step in extra for urgent absences.
The substitute position is between the period 2026-08-14 to 2027-09-14 and may lead to permanent employment if there is a need.
Does this sound like something for you? Then I hope you want to become part of my team – so that together we can make everyday life both secure, fun, and full of adventure!
To be employed, you must present a valid ID, any documents proving the right to work in Sweden, and an extract from the police record. This is ordered at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se). Choose the extract titled Work with children with disabilities.
Staffing:
An extended (and compensated) staffing assignment is included in this position, meaning that during certain weeks you must be reachable at times other than working hours, to ring in a substitute or step in yourself to assist in situations where intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants who work according to a regular schedule.
About Assistans i Balans:
Assistans i Balans provides – with long and own experience – high-quality personal assistance to persons with extensive disabilities in accordance with the LSS Act and the Independent Living movement. We want to contribute to a more equal world where everyone, regardless of disability, is given the opportunity to live an independent life with self-determination and self-respect in focus. Our service is close, personal, and continuous, and our level of ambition is high. All employees receive thorough introduction, ongoing training, participate in our value-based work, receive a fitness allowance, and security through collective agreements (Fremia – Kommunal).
