We belong to the Department for Individual and Family Support and work with a family-oriented approach. This means we look at the entire family system and strive for a consolidated and coordinated needs assessment. Our units collaborate closely and work together based on what is best for each family. In the autumn, a new area will be under construction, including the School Social Team (SST).

Your role

As a Family Therapist in the School Social Team in Skarpnäck, you will be part of a developing team. Currently, the team consists of three employees, but we will expand based on the transition to the new Social Services Act to meet the needs. The team will work with the whole picture, i.e., both interventions with and without needs assessment.

The target group is students from preschool class to grade 9. The intervention is voluntary, and the purpose and goal of the assignment is to improve students' attendance and goal achievement in school, as well as strengthen their mental health/mood and relationships within the family. The design and layout are done together with the student, parents, and school, and are adapted individually with a clear plan that is followed up regularly.

We are looking for you who can work in a driving, transparent, independent, and flexible manner. The role involves significant personal responsibility and places high demands on good collaboration skills. The work involves having many contacts in parallel while maintaining a smooth and well-functioning collaboration between the school, home, and social services. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, other units within the department, and schools.

Your skills and experience

For this position, we are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Basic psychotherapy training, step 1.
• Good knowledge of both school and social services work.
• Experience working with change processes in families and knowledge about children and young people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge of LGBTQIA+ issues.
• Experience in organizational development.
