Workplace Description

Our school, Hjulsta Primary School, is a grades F-9 school with approximately 400 students located 100 meters from the Hjulsta metro station, the first stop on the blue line. Many students come from different cultures, and most have Swedish as their second language, which enriches, develops, and challenges our daily lives. The school leadership consists of the principal, assistant principals, an administrative manager, and a staff group of approximately 90 people, of which about half are teachers. We have a complete student health team consisting of a school counselor, three special education teachers, a school social worker, a school nurse, and a school psychologist.

Our students should be given the opportunity to develop their best selves, with good knowledge and well-developed skills for the future. We who work at Hjulsta Primary School want to make a difference, and with great engagement and expertise, we work together. We are now accelerating the school's joint development work towards higher goal fulfillment. Our main focus for the coming school year is the development of teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience. Since the autumn semester of 2019, Hjulsta Primary School has intensified its work to systematically develop teaching. A senior teacher position has been appointed, and our new senior teacher has responsibility, as part of their role, to lead a practice-oriented and research-focused development work at the school. Accessible teaching, digitalization, language- and knowledge-enhancing teaching are other areas we prioritize, as well as the collaboration between school and working life.

We are now looking for a Wood and Metalwork Teacher (Grades F-9) who wants to work with us and contribute to the school's development in collaboration with many competent colleagues. Your Role

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Wood and Metalwork for primary school. Together with the other craft teachers, you will be responsible for the students' teaching in this subject. You will be part of a working group in the lower secondary school (grades 7-9).

Your Competence and Experience

You are a qualified and certified teacher in Wood and Metalwork. We would like you to have a couple of years of work experience.

We offer a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year.
