Do you want to help educate the future workforce within the hotel, restaurant, and bakery industry?

We are now looking for an engaged and competent teacher for our adapted upper secondary school (formerly special needs upper secondary school). The operation is a four-year voluntary school form aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Our students need education that is clearly adapted to individual prerequisites, with a focus on both knowledge development and personal growth.

As a teacher with us, you work in a flexible learning environment where you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on each student's needs, level, and pace of study. You play a central role in creating an inclusive, structured, and motivating education that gives students the best possible conditions to develop and achieve their goals.

We offer both national and individual programs:

  • National programs: Teaching is conducted within nine vocational programs, such as hotel, restaurant, and bakery, care and nursing, as well as trade and service. As a teacher, you contribute to preparing students for future working life through practical and realistic learning.
  • Individual program: Here, teaching is entirely based on the student's unique needs and prerequisites. You work on designing and adapting content, methods, and goals in close collaboration with the student, colleagues, and student health services.

We work with clear structure, adapted pedagogy, and a relational approach where every student is at the center. Your assignment includes contributing to a safe and developmental school environment where students are given the opportunity to grow, become more independent, and strengthen their hope for the future.

Your Assignment

As a vocational teacher in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakery program, you are responsible for giving students the knowledge and skills required for work within the industry. You will work closely with a colleague in the program and together create a safe, developmental, and practice-oriented education.

  • Plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching within the program's various areas.
  • Teach practical and theoretical moments within restaurant, hotel, bakery, and service.
  • Develop students' knowledge in cooking, baking, serving, food handling, and customer service.
  • Support students' development of independence, collaboration skills, and professional identity.
  • Work with issues concerning hygiene, nutrition, special diets, sustainability, and working environment.
  • Collaborate with workplaces and follow up on students' workplace-based learning (APL).
  • Contribute to an inclusive learning environment where students are given the conditions to succeed based on their individual needs.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who have solid professional experience and want to share your knowledge with the next generation. You have a good understanding of the industry's requirements and see the value in developing both professional skills and people.

  • Documented professional experience within restaurant, hotel, bakery, or confectionery.
  • Good professional knowledge and a genuine interest in developing young people.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious if you:

  • Are a licensed vocational teacher or have started teacher education.
  • Have experience of supervision, education, or working with young people.
  • Have good ability to use digital tools in teaching and documentation.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Is this you?

To thrive in the role, we believe you are an engaged and secure person who is motivated by seeing students grow and develop. You are a good role model and contribute to a positive work climate through collaboration, responsiveness, and professionalism.

  • You are pedagogical and have the ability to adapt teaching to students' needs.
  • You are clear, structured, and responsible.
  • You have a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • You are relationship-building and find it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, and external contacts.
  • You have a strong commitment to service, quality, and professional pride.
  • You want to contribute to creating hope for the future and development opportunities for our students.

We Offer

With us, you get the opportunity to make a difference every day by contributing to students' development and future opportunities in working life. You become part of an engaged operation where collaboration, participation, and professional development are in focus.

  • Opportunity for competence development and continuous learning.
  • Health benefits and perks according to collective agreement.
  • Secure employment conditions and good opportunities for balance between work and leisure.
