Uranienborgskolan on Ven is a small, nature-oriented school in a unique island environment. Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help create a safe, inspiring, and meaningful everyday life for children? Are you an engaged and creative educator who loves building relationships, leading activities, and contributing to children's development? Then you are the recess teacher we are looking for!

As a recess teacher at Uranienborgskolan, you are responsible for creating an inspiring and developmental environment for the students during their time in recess activities. You work both during school hours as a pedagogical resource in the classroom and after school hours in the recess center. The role involves actively contributing to the students' social and personal development through structured activities, play, and learning. The work can be both independent and as part of our dedicated team. With us, you get a meaningful assignment where you help shape the children's everyday life from play to learning.

The daily work consists among other things of:

• Planning and conducting meaningful activities that promote students' development and learning in the recess center.
• Supporting students pedagogically during school hours as a resource in the classroom.
• Creating safety and structure through clear frameworks, low-affective interaction, and good leadership.
• Building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues to promote cooperation and well-being.
• Contributing to the development of the activity through innovative thinking, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented work.

Requirements and Merits

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a certified recess educator who is a safe and clear teacher with a low-affective and attentive approach. You have a natural ability to meet each student based on their needs and create an environment where children feel seen and appreciated. You are relationship-building, structured, and actively contribute to a positive culture in the recess center and the work team. We value your initiative and your solution-focused way of working. You thrive in collaboration, are creative in your pedagogy, and see opportunities in every meeting with the children, guardians, and your colleagues.

Competence Requirements:

• Educated and qualified recess educator
• Good knowledge of Swedish spoken and written language

Merits:

• Experience of assignments in recess centers
• Supervisor education
• Swimming skills as swimming instruction may occur
• Qualification to teach music or physical education, or alternatively experience of teaching in these subjects
