About Glumslöv School

In calm and nature-rich surroundings with a view of the Öresund Strait and the beautiful island of Ven, you will find Glumslöv School. Geographically, Glumslöv is an excellent village to commute to, with good transport links by bus, train, bicycle, or car. The school is a Grades F-9 school with approximately 500 students and is part of the Härslöv/Glumslöv school area with a shared principal, student health team, and professional development.

We work closely with our students, and by nurturing their drive for learning based on each child's learning potential, we together find new and exciting paths to knowledge and learning. Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help create a safe, inspiring, and meaningful everyday life for children? Are you an engaged and creative educator who loves building relationships, leading activities, and contributing to children's development? Then you are the teacher we are looking for!

As a teacher for Grade 2 and the after-school center (fritidshem) at Glumslöv School, you are responsible for creating an inspiring and developmental environment for the students during their time in the after-school activities. You work both during school hours as a teacher for Grade 2 with a student and after school hours in the after-school center. The role involves actively contributing to the student's social and personal development through structured activities, play, and learning. The work can be both independent and as part of our dedicated team. With us, you get a meaningful assignment where you help shape the children's everyday life from play to learning.

The daily work consists of, among other things:

• Planning and conducting meaningful activities that promote the student's development and learning in the after-school center.
• Supporting the student pedagogically during school hours as an extra teacher in the classroom.
• Create safety and structure through clear frameworks, low-affective interaction, and good leadership.
• Build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues to promote cooperation and well-being.
• Contribute to the development of the activity through innovative thinking, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented work.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a certified teacher with experience working in an after-school center. As a person, you are a confident and clear teacher with a low-affective and attentive approach. You have a natural ability to meet each student based on their needs and create an environment where children feel seen and appreciated. You are relationship-building, structured, and actively contribute to a positive culture throughout the school day. We value your initiative and solution-focused work style. You thrive in collaboration, are creative in your pedagogy, and see possibilities in every meeting with the children, guardians, and your colleagues.

Competency Requirements:

• Educated and qualified teacher.
• Trained swimming instructor.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish.

Supervisor training is meritorious as we are a partner school with the task of receiving teacher students. Another merit is swimming proficiency, as swimming instruction may occur. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for you who are calm, patient, and attentive, and have a good ability to create safe relationships, collaborate with others, and meet the student based on their individual needs and prerequisites.
