RESPONSIBILITIES

Adult education, like all educational activities in Osby Municipality, is characterized by professionalism, engagement, joy, and learning, both in meetings with students and colleagues.

You work together with teaching colleagues, study and career counselors, as well as other actors with standard teaching duties. The SFI teaching role includes, among other things, planning, implementation, follow-up, and grading. Collegial learning and the development of the activity are at the center. Osby Komvux is a small unit where we work flexibly.

If you are interested in becoming an important resource for newly arrived immigrants on their various paths to work and participation in society, this is a position for you.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is qualified and certified as an SFI teacher.
• has previous experience working as an SFI teacher.
• is well-versed in the Education Act, curricula, course plans, and grading criteria.
• enjoys sharing your knowledge and experiences.
• can and want to work flexibly.
• works with a focus on collegial learning.
• is accustomed to/have the willingness to work digitally.

Non-certified teachers may be considered if qualifications exist in other ways. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Other competence requirements:

It is meritorious if you are also qualified in Swedish for Immigrants (SvA) at the basic level and/or another subject. Competence in teaching at all levels/streams is meritorious.

You are curious and interested, flexible, and solution-focused. You are a relationship builder who can motivate and engage both students and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, strong drive, and are structured. You are independent and responsible.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in multiculturalism and education and who is passionate about SFI teaching.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

The position is a holiday cover position.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date 2026-08-03. Start August 3rd or as agreed.

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the operations.
