We are looking for an experienced civilian security investigator for the 4th Regional Security Squadron (4. RSS) located in Revingehed.

About the Southern Military District (MR S)

The Southern Military District (MR S) is one of four military districts, representing a permanent military-geographical division of Sweden's territory. The military district is responsible for territorial command and coordination of missions and operations, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, and support to society. The responsibility also includes production and mission management of MR S's five Military District Groups with their eleven home guard battalions.

In a military district, the Swedish Armed Forces meet civil society. Therefore, we need to understand the role of the Armed Forces, have good situational awareness, and a holistic understanding of how society is organized and functions.

The 4th Regional Security Squadron (4. RSS)

The 4th Regional Security Squadron is a wartime unit undergoing growth, intended to operate here and now and in all subsequent typical situations. The unit is one of the MR S Commander's most important tools for creating a regional situation picture regarding protected assets and threats to them. The 4. RSS task is to counter security-threatening activities against the Swedish Armed Forces' or allies' protected assets as well as our critical dependencies. This is done, for example, by the squadron:

• collaborating with actors within the region who can contribute to a consolidated situation picture
• collecting information using all the squadron's capabilities, primarily through questioning, investigation, surveillance, and technical collection
• producing materials to support planning as well as decision-making materials for the MR Commander, MR staff, or supported commander
• supporting units and military bases with activities that raise the security protection level through various types of security protection measures.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of investigator, you are responsible for the independent management and execution of qualified security investigations within the entire geographical area of MR S. A natural part of your work is cooperation with other units and organizations within the MR S geographical area. In your daily work, you work very closely with the unit's intelligence function and other units' counterparts. Work in uncomfortable environments occurs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Documented education that the employer deems relevant for the position, for example: Academic education in investigation, forensics, or similar. Formal military investigation training (HUMINT, security investigation, etc.) Formal investigation training from a law enforcement authority (interrogation, criminal investigation, etc.)
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English
• Good administrative skills
• Driver's license, at least class B

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Documented multi-year, well-respected work experience in investigation from the Swedish Armed Forces, a law enforcement authority, or an authority in close cooperation with a law enforcement authority
• Documented work experience in military intelligence and security services
• Experience in technical support for investigation

The Southern Military District (MR S) is a wartime unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of the Commander with staff, five military district groups for training and support of the home guard, as well as approx. 7,000 home guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units. The MR S Commander with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region.
