Description

Rikstens School is now looking for a certified primary school teacher with qualifications in Social Studies (SO) and Swedish for the lower secondary level (grades 7-9). It is also meritorious if you have the qualification to teach Swedish as a second language. You will have the opportunity to plan and develop your teaching together with skilled and driven subject colleagues in a collegial learning environment in the 7-9 unit.

In your assignment, you conduct teaching and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up work for lessons, as well as grading. You are part of a work team and participate in the team's joint work. You contribute to a good learning environment through active collaboration. Together, you focus on the students' knowledge development. You also collaborate with other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's values-based work and work inclusively.

Mentorship is a central part of your role through social contacts regarding students and classes, contact with guardians, absence management, and development conferences. In your role, you collaborate with the student health team.

Workplace Description

Rikstens School is a relatively new, airy, and fresh school in Rikstens Friluftsstad, Tullinge. We opened in autumn 2013 and have operations from preschool class up to grade 9, with approx. 800 students and 100 employees.

Rikstens School is a school where new ideas and engagement are appreciated at all levels. Our students are ambitious, and just as we have high expectations of them, they have high expectations of us. We focus on early reading instruction and a language-developing approach. We use the Bornholm model and the program 'Think, Reason, and Calculate' in the preschool class. We work with the violence-prevention program 'The Train' to ensure a safe school environment.

Rikstens School has a well-functioning student health service where school leadership, school healthcare, and special education teachers collaborate closely with the school's other educators. We are divided into work teams by grade levels, and these form a unit for the stage. The work team and the unit you belong to provide significant support for the individual educator.

Our school is located next to the Lida Outdoor Area, and we have the opportunity to conduct activities outdoors.
