About the role
We are looking for a student who wants to work part-time at our client's switchboard and reception. The switchboard is shared between another office and the head office in Rotebro. As a receptionist, you are the face of the company, being the first person visitors meet or speak to on the phone. The role involves approximately 1 day per week, but this may vary depending on coverage needs (additional shifts). However, we cannot guarantee additional hours.
What we offer
- A rewarding part-time job where you gain valuable experience in service and administration
- The ability to combine work with both calm and intensive study periods, thanks to a team of consultants who support each other with shifts
Responsibilities

- Manage emails and the switchboard, and refer or forward calls internally to, for example, technical sales or order, invoice, and returns handling
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Ensure conference rooms and common areas are presentable and well-maintained
- Arrange food orders and serve lunch and coffee to visitors
- Take care of the kitchen and dishwasher when needed
We are looking for someone who
- Studies at least 50% at a college or university with at least 1.5 years remaining until graduation, or has another primary occupation
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has a service-oriented and professional attitude
Meritorious qualifications
- Previous experience working in reception or customer service
- Experience in service from, for example, retail or other service functions
- Experience in organizing and preparing for conferences
Personal qualities
To succeed in this role, you possess the following personal qualities:
- Helpful
- Respectful
- Proactive
Other information:
- Start: Immediately
- Working hours: Office hours, with the possibility of working half-days or full days
- Flexibility is required as you will be needed during both planned leave and sudden sick leave, sometimes on short notice
Our recruitment process
This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work. Our client's preference is that all questions regarding the role are directed to Academic Work.
We conduct rolling selections and will remove the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage. A CV is required when applying. Cover letters are not used as a selection method and do not need to be attached. It is your responsibility as a candidate to ensure your application is complete when submitted. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. These tests are tools to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
For these part-time positions, you must have another primary occupation of at least 50%, such as studies, another employment, self-employment, parental leave, or similar.
