Kvibergsnässkolan is an adapted primary school (grades 1–9) with a total of 15 students from across Gothenburg. Our premises are located in the same building complex as Kvibergsskolan (grades 4–9). We work extensively with communication support, low-affective handling, and clear pedagogical methods for students at an early developmental level. The majority of our students follow a curriculum based on subject areas. We have a very secure and competent staff group, and our motto is: Every student encounter is a learning opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Student Assistant for our school. Together with teachers, leisure center staff, and other student assistants, you will assist, motivate, and support the students in school and at the leisure center. Work with the students takes place in various contexts and environments. We spend a lot of time outdoors and utilize the beautiful environments in the local area. You will work both in groups and independently with the students.

We have a well-planned and dynamic operation where your imagination and various competencies are given great scope, all to create as harmonious and developmental schooling as possible for our students. We collaborate well with guardians and other actors outside the school. Our workplace is filled with joy, energy, and competent colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have good experience and knowledge in working with children at an early developmental level, where the ability to empathize and meet the children on their level is crucial for adapting handling and implementing planned activities. You have completed upper secondary education with further specialization in the field. You have basic knowledge of Sign Support (TSS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). You have extensive experience and good knowledge regarding autism, intellectual disability in combination with neuropsychiatric disorders (NPD), and low-affective handling. You must also have at least six months of experience in the field and be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Your ability to collaborate and work in a team is very important as you are part of a work team. You view learning from a holistic perspective where both school and leisure center contribute. You can lead students and capture their interests while maintaining calm in challenging situations. In the meeting with each individual student, you make a difference and strive for increased goal fulfillment. The students' individual prerequisites place high demands on your flexibility and creativity.
