The Management Office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The Management Office is led by the Regional Director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a steering, supporting, and coordinating role, the Management Office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is reflected in the region's various operations. In this way, Region Uppsala can assume its role, both regionally and nationally.

Our Operations
To the HR Department, which belongs to the Management Office of Region Uppsala, we are now looking for an experienced negotiator/labor law attorney with a very good ability to navigate complex employer issues. The department is responsible for the overarching strategic HR work in Region Uppsala, and the task is to develop and provide high-quality, operationally close HR support based on the employer policy strategy.
The position is located in the HR Law and Agreements function area, where tasks within labor law, negotiation, wage formation and wage review, union cooperation, and working hours are coordinated.
The unit acts as an expert function in the area of law and agreements, monitoring news and developments in labor law issues, sharing relevant information with other affected functions, identifying needs, and providing training. Providing support and advice in labor law matters and assisting operations in labor law disputes is an important part of the task.
We are now looking for you who want to spend most of your time on issues related to labor law and negotiation. An important labor law area that has a special focus with us and will be included in your task is working time issues. Other issues/tasks occurring within the unit may also become part of your assignment.
Together with your colleagues in HR Law and Agreements, you will support HR partners and managers in all operations in Region Uppsala. Examples of this can be:
- labor law advice
- dispute negotiations
- monitoring the unit's areas of responsibility
- leading various projects within different agreement issues and employer issues
- Training of HR and managers
- design, development, and updating of documentation and working materials
The assignments are both strategic and operational in nature. Collaboration with different parts of the HR organization, union partners, and also other functions in Region Uppsala is of great importance for the work.
You report to the Head of Negotiations and work closely with the labor law attorney and other HR specialists at the unit. We value an open climate and good cooperation in the work group. Here you become part of an engaged and creative HR team!
Your Qualifications
- University degree in a field relevant to the position.
- Extensive experience in independently driving and conducting labor law cases and participating in/leading negotiations.
- Very good experience of cooperation with union organizations, for example in cooperation groups or in MBL negotiations.
- Broad experience in working with the interpretation of collective agreements.
- A pedagogical and solution-focused approach to work.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
Meritorious
- advanced education in labor law
- work within the agreement area for municipalities and regions.
