Department of Economics

As a Teaching Assistant for Undergraduate Studies at the Department of Economics, we are now looking for you who want to combine your economics studies with participation in the course "Introduction to Business Economics and Sustainable Development". The teaching is conducted in collaboration with researchers and is carried out through lectures, seminars, study visits, and written submissions. The course leadership is now looking for you who want to strengthen the teaching team with student supervision, practical coordination, and information management. The tasks may be influenced in consultation with the course leadership.

About the Job

The Department of Economics is looking for a Teaching Assistant to participate in the course FÖ0481, "Introduction to Business Economics and Sustainable Development", during the period September 1 - September 30, 2026, plus preparation and follow-up work. The course is a program course for students on the Bachelor's program in Economics and Sustainable Development at SLU.

The tasks include course administration and supervision of written submissions in business economics and environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other teachers and course leadership.

Your Background

• Business economics studies, with a sustainability focus, or equivalent;
• A Bachelor's degree in Economics or equivalent is meritorious for the position;
• Completion of the course with at least a grade 4 in "Introduction to Business Economics and Sustainable Development, FÖ0481" is meritorious for the position.

To be employed as a Teaching Assistant, you must be admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level.

About Us

Research and teaching are conducted within the Department of Economics in the subjects of business economics and economics. What is unique about the department is that great importance is placed on applied science, often in collaboration with the university's natural science subjects. Questions concerning agriculture, food, and natural resources have the main focus at the Department of Economics.

The Department of Economics at SLU educates economists within the agronomy program and economists with a natural resource, environmental, and sustainability profile. The Department of Economics provides the majority of the education within five economics programs at the bachelor's and master's levels, and contributes to education within additional programs at SLU.
