Our Operations

The Emergency Department at Akademiska Sjukhuset receives approximately 60,000 visits annually. The department is open 24/7 and has the mission to provide specialized care for acutely ill or injured patients. Are you a trained assistant nurse and do you want a key role in managing patient flow at the emergency department during night shifts? We are now looking for a Local Ward Coordinator!

Your Role

Your role as a Ward Coordinator is to optimize the use of the hospital's beds and ensure that patients at the emergency department are directed to the correct wards. Your duties include inventorying and monitoring bed availability on all wards during the night, as well as prioritizing and allocating patients ready for admission from the emergency department to inpatient care. You will work in close collaboration with the Responsible Nurse Manager (LAS).

Your role also includes supporting operations with tasks aimed at optimizing the internal flow of patients.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse with a protected professional title, as well as experience from inpatient care and/or the emergency department. Experience as a Ward Coordinator is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you are familiar with the medical record system Cosmic. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, valuing traits such as being independent, communicative, and cooperative. You must be able to lead and organize work to maintain structure and make quick decisions in a stressful environment.

What We Offer

• Scope: 75-100% as agreed.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment for 6 months, starting as agreed.
• Working hours: Night shifts.
• Salary: As agreed.
