Description

We are looking for an energetic and engaged study support tutor who masters Ukrainian and Russian, and who wants to work with students in grades 4-9. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our young students in their schooling and helping them reach their goals. You will be an important person in their lives, and your efforts will contribute to an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

As a study support tutor, you will:

• Work with students who have recently arrived in Sweden and need extra support in their studies.
• Adapt teaching based on each student's individual needs and prerequisites.
• Create a safe and inspiring atmosphere where students feel seen and heard.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic solution for the student's learning and well-being.

Responsibilities

As a study support tutor for Ukrainian and Russian in grades 4-9, you will play a central role in our students' learning and development. Your engagement and pedagogical insight will inspire and support our students to reach their goals. You will:

• Provide individual study support and assistance in several different subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics, and English, adapted to each student's needs.
• Create a safe and stimulating learning environment where students can grow and develop.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Encourage and motivate students to participate actively in teaching and to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Plan and carry out activities that stimulate learning and creativity outside the classroom.

There are only a few students (currently 2 students) with Russian or Ukrainian who need study support. The position is part-time and amounts to 20%.

We prefer that you have the possibility for on-site study support, but if circumstances require it, interactive study support via video calls can be arranged.
