About the role and your responsibilities

As a primary school teacher, you work pedagogically and socially based on the organization's goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. You are well-versed in the current curriculum and are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching, working to promote students' learning and development.

You will work as a homeroom teacher in grade 2. Together with the other teachers in the team, you will plan jointly and contribute through engagement and collaboration. You are part of a team that also includes a leisure-time pedagogue and sometimes a resource pedagogue. You work with differentiated instruction where the goal is for all students to reach the objectives.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher and qualified in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, mathematics, Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology for grades F-3. We seek someone with experience in mentorship and teaching as a primary school teacher. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and can apply these pedagogically in your daily work. It is an advantage if you are qualified in Physical Education and Health.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and have good leadership skills. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and are open to support from the special team and colleagues at the school when needed. At the same time, you are independent, confident, and can handle several parallel tasks simultaneously. As the school values a learning and supportive collaborative culture, you are involved and work based on what the pedagogues have agreed upon together. About the workplace

Flygelskolan is a F-3 school together with the schools on Östra Torn. We are three schools: Munspelet F-3, Flygelskolan F-3, and Östratornskolan 4-9. Flygelskolan has two parallel classes for F-3, and for the school year 2026-2027, the school has approximately 190 students. Flygelskolan is located in the eastern part of Lund, Brunnshög is a 10-minute walk from there. Our ambition is for the students at Flygelskolan to feel safe and want to come to school, where they get the prerequisites to learn and where everyone reaches the goals in all subjects to then continue their learning and schooling in grade 4 at Östratornskolan.

We are a school focused on the students; they should get the knowledge they need to move forward in life. We work actively together with the students to be a school where students feel safe and get study peace. We have a good atmosphere in the staff room where we help each other to succeed in reaching the goals we have set for the students. We care for each other and aim to be kind and contribute to each other's work environment. The school has EHT (Educational Care) staff as well as special teachers, special pedagogues, and a school librarian. Flygelskolan has a well-planned leisure-time activity program with mixed activities. On our nice schoolyard, there is room for various activities and play.

We work in collegial learning where we utilize each other's competence and are professional based on our assignment. The mentors in the different grades are responsible for the development talks. Flygelskolan has, with the support of Lundavälkomsten, developed a language and knowledge-developing working method (SKUA).

The Child and School Administration, together with Linnaeus University, has had a project where each school has developed the area that the school needs based on results. Through this improvement work with accessible learning environments, social and emotional learning, high expectations with clear goals, and differentiated instruction, we have a shared view of student learning, which makes it possible for everyone to succeed. A common goal for the schools on Östratorn is mental health, where we work preventively together so that our students feel well.

At the Child and School Administration, we work to create equality and good prerequisites for all children and students in our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to reach their goals.
