About the Workplace

Sätoftaskolan is a school for grades F-9 with an associated after-school center. The school also houses the municipality's adapted primary school. The school is beautifully located near a lake and forest with an inspiring outdoor environment. It is possible to commute to and from the school using public transport.

Approximately 500 students attend the school. The school has one principal and two deputy principals. The staff is divided into different work teams and teaching groups led by the school's team leaders/head teachers.

Do you want to make a real difference in our students' everyday lives? We are now looking for an engaged and confident student assistant for our adapted primary school.

About the position

As a student assistant, you work closely with one or more students with individual needs and disabilities. You support the student in both learning and social development throughout the school day and at the after-school center, in close collaboration with teachers and other staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the student in teaching and daily routines
• Adapting activities based on the student's needs and conditions
• Working systematically with communication and clear pedagogy
• Collaborating with educators, student health services, and guardians

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with students with individual disabilities
• Has knowledge of and preferably practical experience with TAKK (Signs as Alternative and Augmented Communication)
• Is confident, sensitive, and has a low-affective approach to interaction
• Has good teamwork skills and is flexible in your working methods

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience from adapted primary school or similar operations
• Pedagogical education or student assistant training

Personal Qualities

You are engaged, responsible, and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people in need of special support. You are patient and have the ability to create security and structure.
