About the role and your responsibilities

As a primary school teacher in the after-school program (fritidshem) at Vikingaskolan, you will be part of a team where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning and following up on the pedagogical activities in the after-school program. You will be responsible for either one of the practical-aesthetic subjects or for FRIS-pass (after-school in school) during the school day, where the class is usually divided into half-classes. By taking advantage of the students' interests and needs, you and your team will design meaningful education and leisure time, as well as inspire new discoveries.

Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is a very important part of the role.

The after-school program at Vikingaskolan is divided into age-homogeneous sections for grades F-3. Certified primary school teachers in the after-school program are available on each section.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher in the after-school program. It is an advantage if you already have a few years of experience working in an after-school program.

Furthermore, we are looking for you who have the ability to see the different needs of all students, take their individual prerequisites into account, and help them develop. You are well acquainted with the school's and after-school program's guiding documents and base your planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of the activities on these.

You see collegial learning as a natural part of your assignment and work. You have new ideas, an interest in creative work, play, and physical activities within the framework of the entire school day. You promote a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues.

About the workplace

Vikingaskolan is located on Linero, in the southeastern part of Lund. 570 students in grades F-9 attend our school. The part of the school belonging to F-3 is, during the renovation of Vikingaskolan, located at Råbylundskolan, which is approximately 1.5 km away.
