About the position

Here, play is the foundation of learning, and we consciously use play in our teaching. As a pedagog, you are present, active, and co-researching together with the children. Through planned and spontaneous play, we create play worlds and learning environments where children develop language, imagination, and social skills.

Social sustainability permeates our operations, and we actively work for safety, good relationships, and a strong community where every child feels seen, involved, and significant.

We have a conscious language-developing approach where read-alouds, conversations, and play strengthen children's language, concepts, and vocabulary. Together, we develop our operations through an investigative and reflective approach with a focus on high quality and equity.

As a preschool teacher, you play a central role in planning, implementing, and developing teaching based on the curriculum. You create a safe and inclusive environment where all children can develop. You collaborate closely with your colleagues and build good relationships with guardians. The role also includes documenting and following up on children's learning as part of our systematic quality work.

• has a preschool teacher degree
• has a clear child focus and sees every child's potential
• is engaged, positive, and solution-oriented
• enjoys collaborating and creating good relationships
• communicates clearly in speech and writing

About the employment

Before employment with us, we will ask you to present an extract from the Police Register of Offences. Lackalänga Preschool is located in the scenic Furulund, close to the train station and with good commuting opportunities.

Our thematic work is based on a shared children's book where we, together with the children, step into the world of fairy tales and cherish the joy of learning. Through stories, imagination, drama, creativity, and play, children explore various projects and develop their language, creativity, and social interaction. The world of fairy tales is a red thread in the education and contributes to creating curiosity, participation, and meaningful contexts for the children in all our groups.

At Lackalänga Preschool, we work in smaller groups. Each unit is divided into three children's groups, which provides good conditions for safety, attachment, and close relationships between children and educators. We have a common focus on progression and develop our learning environments, play worlds, and work on social strategies based on the children's age, experiences, and needs. We strive to create safe and inspiring contexts where children have the opportunity to develop together with others, and where learning grows step by step through play, exploration, and community.
