Renshammarskolan is a newly constructed F–6 school where we together create a safe, inclusive, and educational environment for all students. We are now looking for an engaged special needs educator who wants to contribute to developing a strong student health service and an accessible learning environment where every student is given the best possible conditions to succeed.

Responsibilities

As a special needs educator, you work closely with school leadership, teachers, and other professionals within the student health service. You play a central role in preventive and promoting work and contribute special pedagogical competence at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Mentoring and supporting educators in creating accessible learning environments.
• Conducting pedagogical mapping, investigations, and analyses of students' needs.
• Establishing, following up, and evaluating action plans.
• Contributing to the development of the school's pedagogical work and student health efforts.
• Collaborating with guardians and external actors when necessary.
• Being an active and driving member of the school's student health team.
• Participating in the school's systematic quality work.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Degree in Special Education.
• Teaching license with eligibility for work in primary/lower secondary school.
• Good ability to collaborate and create trusting relationships.
• Good knowledge of inclusive working methods and accessible learning environments.
• Ability to work independently, structured, and development-oriented.

Merits

• Experience working as a special needs educator in primary/lower secondary school.
• Experience in student health work and cross-professional collaboration.
• Experience in mentoring pedagogical staff.
• Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities and adaptations in the learning environment.
• Experience in development work at the organizational level.
