About the job

As an automation teacher, you instruct students in both theory and practice in areas such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, and programming. You work closely with colleagues in cross-disciplinary projects and contribute to a safe and coaching-oriented environment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Teaching technology with a focus on automation
• Guiding students in practical tasks and projects
• Assessing, following up, and grading students
• Collaborating with colleagues in teams and subject-integrated setups
• Actively contributing to the development of the school's educational environment

Location

The position is based at Göranssonska Skolan in Sandviken, where the work takes place on-site in the school's teaching and workshop environments.

About you

You have theoretical and practical competence in automation, and preferably teacher certification or teaching experience. A technical post-secondary education is an advantage. You communicate fluently in Swedish and handle English well.

You have:

• Good knowledge of automation, automation technology, operational safety, and robotics (Yaskawa, ABB)
• Experience with programming and PLCs (e.g., Siemens or Mitsubishi)
• Ability to combine theory and practical tasks in teaching
• Confidence in assessing and following up on student development
• Interest in collaborating in projects and cross-disciplinary teams
