International English School (IES) Gävle is looking for an engaged and positive PE and Health teacher to teach both lower secondary and upper secondary levels (grades 4–9). About the Role

As a PE and Health teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the current curriculum. You create inspiring and varied lessons that promote student well-being. Together with colleagues, you contribute to a positive school environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE and Health to students in grades 4–9.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the curriculum.
• Assess and document students' knowledge development.
• Promote joy in movement, health, and good living habits.
• Ensure a safe and secure learning environment during lessons and activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, mentors, student health services, and guardians to support student development.
• Actively participate in the school's development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with eligibility to teach PE and Health.
• Has strong pedagogical skills and a positive attitude.
• Is engaged, structured, and clear in your leadership.
• Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in teams.
• Shares the school's values regarding respect, responsibility, and high expectations.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English.
